ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 53-17-01-F <br />of the City Manager <br />AMENDMENT OF REGULATIONS FOR ADMINISTRATION AND <br />ENFORCEMENT OF THE BUILDING, FIRE AND TECHNICAL CODES <br />ADMINISTRATIVE RULE R-8.005 AND REPEAL OF ADMINISTRATIVE <br />ORDER NO. 53-15-01-F. <br />The City Manager of the City of Eugene finds that: <br />A. Pursuant to the authority contained in Sections 2.019 and 8.005 of the Eugene Code, <br />1971, Regulations for Administration and Enforcement of the Building, Fire and Technical Codes <br />Administrative Rule R-8.005 was adopted by Administrative Order No. 53-15-01-F on March 27, <br />2015. <br />B. On February 8, 2017, I issued Administrative Order No. 53-17-01 proposing to <br />amend Regulations for Administration and Enforcement Building, Fire and Technical Codes <br />Administrative Rule R-8.005 to require that construction documents for commercial or multi- <br />family buildings that include more than ten drawings be submitted in PDF format, and that all <br />other plans, engineering calculations, diagrams, etc., be submitted in either PDF format or drawn <br />on substantial paper. <br />C. Notice of the proposed amendments was published in the Register Guard on <br />February 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14, 2017. The Notice provided that written comments would be <br />received for a period of 15 days from the first date of publication. No comments were received in <br />within the time or in the manner provided in the Notice. <br />Therefore, based upon the above findings and the findings in Administrative Order No. <br />53-17-01, and pursuant to the authority contained in Sections 2.019 and 8.005 of the Eugene Code, <br />1971, I order that: <br />1. As of the effective date of this Order, Rule R -8.005-B is amended as proposed. <br />2. The unamended provisions of Administrative Rule R-8.005 adopted by <br />Administrative Order No. 53-15-01-F remain in full force and effect and are incorporated into Rule <br />R-8.005 set out in this Order. <br />order. <br />3. Administrative Order No. 53-15-01-F is repealed as of the effective date of this <br />4.
