Economic Impact <br />Asheville Convention and Visitors Bureau <br /> <br />4076 people surveyed; 87% responded that they would explore further if <br />signage and kiosks provided direction to additional attractions. <br /> <br />11% stated they would extend their trip by one additional overnight night <br />stay, if new or additional destinations were discovered <br /> <br />11% of visitors = 85,241 additional over night stays in 3 year period <br /> <br />By 2014, the Asheville area saw an increase in visitation from 8 million to just <br />under 10 million, with visitors pumping $1.7 billion into the local economy <br />. <br /> <br />
