Table 2 shows the calculation of equivalent population (i.e., <br />guests) for tourist accommodation development. Growth in guests is estimated based on the <br />projected growth in the number of rooms (507) and average occupancy per room (1.93). Current employment data by <br />standard industrial classification were analyzed along with data on existing building square <br />footage to determine estimated employment density by nonresidential class. Table 2 (column b) <br />shows the estimated number of employees per TGSF by class based on this analysis. The growth <br />in TGSF by class over the study period (column a) was estimated based on the current TGSF and <br />an assumed growth rate of 1.1 percent per year over the planning horizon (equal to estimated <br />population growth).
