<br />1. Support legislation that promotes sustainable and green building practices, promotes research <br />into the effectiveness of green building and the establishment of economic incentives for <br />builders of sustainable and green buildings. <br /> <br />2. Support legislation and policies that promote sustainable development; that improve <br />environmental standards and the regulatory process; that provide incentives and financial <br />measures for preservation of natural resources; and that promote sustainable energy policies. <br /> <br />3. Support legislation and policies that expand efforts to promote water efficient practices and <br />ensure a clean affordable water supply including but not limited to adopting graywater use <br />regulations that facilitate reduced water consumption in urban households through safe and <br />effective graywater use. <br /> <br />4. Support legislation which renews and/or expands energy tax credits for buildings built to <br />LEED standards, whether residential or commercial. <br /> <br />5. Support legislation eliminating restrictions that prevent private sector installation of waterless <br />urinals consistent with manufacturers’ specifications. <br /> <br />6.
