<br />Minutes of the called meeting of tte COlmnon Council held at one o'clock
<br />P. M. On Monday, May 21, 1928, there beiIJg present Nayor A. L. VHlliamson, and
<br />COilllcilmen Large, Lamb, Rugh, Hendershott, and Reid; absent, 'VVashburne, McCully
<br />and Monroe.

<br />Meeting called to order by the Mayor, pursuant to Section 3739 of the
<br />Laws. of Oregon for 1920, for the purpose of canvassing the votes on the proposed
<br />annexation of Ch1,_la Vista District, as described, the Southwe:3tern District, as
<br />described, Gnd the Western Dis tricG, as described. iJ.'he canvas vvas first made of'
<br />the vote cast in the Southwest'3rn District, as described, v;hich, as canvassed,
<br />showed eleven (11) votes in favol~ of aill1e,xation'and tV/enti-two (22) votes against
<br />al111e:z:ation. 'rhe issue in s'Uch ter'rito1'Y ')eiD.[; lost, no canvas was made of the
<br />vote within the Cit~y as to s'Uch issue.

<br />The canvas was next made of the vote in the VJester'[l District, as des-
<br />cribed, which canvas,cshowod fourteen (14) votes in favor of annexation, and 56
<br />votes against annexation. 1'he issue in s'Uch tel~ritory aeing lost, no canvas 'vvas
<br />made of the vote s -&i thin the City as to such issue.

<br />The canvas was next made of the vote in the Cl1ula Vista District on the
<br />que st i on of anneza t ion as cast ill bo th the City and inthe tel' ri tor y effec ted, which
<br />canvas showed such issue carried in both tte City and in the territory to be
<br />annexed, aIld, on motion, the following Order was presente.i and u.nanimously adopted.:

<br />Beginning at the intersection of the South line of the Masonic Cemetery, with the East line of University Street
<br />in Eugene, Oregon: running thence East to a point on the East line of Spring Boulevard, said point being
<br />35 feet North of the Southwest corner of Lot 5, Block 1, Capital Hill Addition, running thence in a North-
<br />erly direction along the East line of Spring Boulevard to the Northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 3, Capital Hill
<br />Addition, thence East to the present City Limits on the South line of Hendrick's Park: thence North along
<br />the present City Limits, thence Northwesterly along the present City Limits, thence West along the present
<br />City Limits to the East line of University Avenue. thence South along. the East line of University Street to
