CITY PLANNING BONDS: ~7~~ Shall the Charter of the City of Eugene, Oregon, by amended authorizing and empowering the Common Council to issue and sell nee;otiable bonds of the City in the amount of Five Thousand Dollars, or so m1j.ch thereof as may be necessary for the e:<:tensi on of the work of the Planning Commission, including a master plan of the City and its environs. THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: BE IT ENAC TE(D BY THE E LEC TOR S OF THE CITY OF EUGENE: Section 1. rnn t the Common Council of the City of Eugene is hereby authorized and empowered to issue and sell negotiable bonds of the City to the a moun t of Fi ve Thousand Dollar s, or so ;;1Uch thereof as may be necessary for the extens ion of t be, wor]{ 0 f the Planning C orruni ssion, in- cluding a master plan of the City and its environs. I' Section 2. The bonrnhereby authorized shall be denominated CITY PLANNING BONDS, and s hall be in sue h for m and of such denomina ti ons as will, in the judgment of the Common C ounci 1 , be most likely to conduce to their salability. They shall be made due and payable in ten years from the date of their issuance and shall bear interest at a rate not to exce ed five pe I' ce nt pe r annum, interest payable semi-annually. Section 3. Said boneE shall be a general obligation of the City of Eue;'ene, and the Common Council of the City of Eugene is hereby authorized to inclUde in its e;eneral municipal tax levy each year such sufficient I special levy as shall aggregate an amount sufficient to Day the interest on the bonds and provide a sliUl,[ing fund for the payment of the bonds when due.
