<br /> . Minutes of the regular meeting of the Common Council, held at the hour
<br /> of 7~~0 o~clock P. M.,September 10, 1928, there being present Mayor A. L.
<br /> WillIamson, a.n,d all members of the Council except Rugh and Hendershott, who were
<br /> absent.
<br /> Meeting called to order at 7:30 o'clock P.-M.
<br /> Minutes of the meetings of August 13 and August 27, 1928, approved.
<br /> Simon Kiliovdahl appeared before the Council as to selling the City a
<br /> certain number of his new City maps, offering to sell the same at the rate of $17.5
<br /> each. The matter was referred to the City Engineer to look over the map and report
<br /> at the next meeting of the Coun~il.
<br /> Mrs Konstasky appeared and protested against her assesslllent on 14th Ave-
<br /> nue paving between Olive and Charnelton Streets for the reason she could not afford
<br /> it. Her protest was laid 04 the tabel.
<br /> A petition~appeared again, relative to th~ lights and a hydrant an 14th .
<br /> 'Avenue and Polk Streets in the City. The Recorder was directed to immediately
<br /> notify the Water Board to inst,all the same.
<br /> . .
<br /> As per the call, bids were received ~cr the construction of a ,sanitary
<br /> sewer be tween 2nd and 3rd Avenues from Polk Street to the We s t City Limi t's, as
<br /> follows:

<br /> Committee recoiIlfn.ended the bid of Stien Bros. at $1,652.70 be accepted, and, on
<br /> motion, such recommendation was adopted, and the Mayor and Recorder were instructed
<br /> to enter into a contract with such successful bidder for the performance of such
<br /> improvement work. -
<br /> As per the call, bids were received for the paving of Van Buren Street
<br /> from 6th Avenue to 7th Avenue in the Oi ty of Eugene, as follows,:

<br /> Glommittee recommended the bid of Hargreaves and Lindsay for Concrete pavement at
<br /> $2,652.70 be accepted, and, on motion, such recommendation was adopted, and the
<br /> Mayor and Recorder were instructed to enter into a contract with such successful
<br /> bidder for the performance of such improvement work.
<br /> As per the call, bidsr were received for the paving If 14th Avenue
<br /> from Olive Street to ,Lincoln Street, as follows:
