RES 0 L UTI 0 N WHEREAS, there has been filed wi th the Rl:lcorder and presented to the Common Gouncil of the City 01' Eugene, a petition askin[ the Common Council to install necessary and suitable ornamental street lighting system on both sides of the streets comprising the following route, to-wit: Comm~ncing on 10th Avenue East at the West side 01' Pearl Street: .running thence West to the West side of Charnel ton Street: thence North on Cha.rnelton Street to the. North line 01' Broadway: thence East on Broadway to the East line 01' Olive Street: thence Southon Olive Street trd~ and including the 10th Avenue intersection; which petition has been signed by the requisite number of property owners and by owners of the requisite property in area, and I WHEREAS, there is now presented to the ,Council an Ordinance declaring the intention of the Common Council to install such necessary and suitable 01'- namental street lighting s.1rstem, Now therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, that, said Ordinance shall be considered by the Common Council at its meeting to be held on the 24th day Of June, 1929, at 7:DO o'clock P. M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Eugene, and that the City Recorder be and he is hereby directea. to publish liS. notiue Ina newspaper 01' general circulation published in the City of Eugene, for ten days prior to the passage of said Ordinance, stating in said notice that said Ordinance will be considered by the Common Council at said time, and that the owners 01' property sub~lect to assess- ment 1'01' such lighting system may appear bel'ore the Common Council and object to the contemplated improvement and the passage 01' the proposed Ordinance. I Be it Further Resolved by the Common Council of the City of Eugene that the City Engineer be and he is hereby directed to prepare and l'ile l'orthwith with the City Rec orde l' of the C it,y- 01' Eugene comple te plans and spa c ifica ti ons for each proposed type at' improvement, and the City Recorder is hereby author- ized and directed to publish a notice calling for sealed bids for the constructio and installation, erection and replacemen t necessary and required for the in- stallation of said suitable and necessary ornamental street lighting system, "", .....
