<br />Seventh Avenue is hereby opened, laid out, and established from the West line of

<br />Campbell's First Addition to t,he West City Limits in said City of Eugene, and the
<br />City Engineer is directed to prepare and deliver to the Recorder an accurate
<br />
<br />plat of said street and of the property so appropriated for pUblic use, and the
<br />recorder is directed to file for record with the County Clerk of Lane County said
<br />plat and a copy of tillS resolution.

<br />In the cMa.tter of the Opening of Seventeenth Avenue West from Lawrence Street
<br />West to the East line of Hollenbeck's Addition to Eugene, Oregon.

<br />WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Eugene by resolution duly adopted
<br />May 14, 1923, determined to open, layout, and establish Seventeenth Avenue West
<br />
<br />from Lawrence Street West to t:he East line of Hollenbeck's Addition, in the City
<br />of Eugene, Oregon,
<br />
<br />And Whereas, the report and plat of the City Engineer for the opening of sai
<br />street was dul,y made and filed and duly adopted by the City Council by Ordinance
<br />No. 3993, passed and approved I'v'Iarch 17th, 1924,
<br />
<br />And Whereas, the Viewers duly appointed by said Ordinance No. 3993 made and
<br />file d a report, of the ir findings of, b enefi ts and daaage s t,o the property benefi tted
<br />and the property damaged by t,he opening of sai d stree t,
<br />And Whereas, due notice of the consideration of said report was given and
<br />thereafter said report was duly adopted by Ordinance No. 4290, passed and approve
<br />

<br />on July 14th, 1924,
<br />
<br />And Whereas, the damages sustained in the taking of property in said street
<br />opening in the name of Palrrer & Anna Rumford amounted to $450.0Q, and there were
<br />
<br />no benefits to the property in said street opening,
<br />
<br />And Whereas, the Ci ty of Eugene paid to Palmer & Anna Rumford the excess of
<br />damages over benefits by General Fund Warrant No. 20982, in the sum of $450.00,
<br />
<br />And Where as, said partie s accep ted said warran t,
<br />
<br />And Whereas, there was no further objections to said l'eport of viewers, and
<br />
<br />the time for a.ppeal from the said viewer's report has long since expired,
<br />
<br />THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Common Council of the City of Eugene that
<br />the following described property, being the property described in said Engineer's
<br />
<br />report and in said viewer's report, towit:

<br />Beginning at the Southeast corner of the lot numbered 25;, in Block number
<br />1, of Hendrick's Addition to Eugene, according to the Amended plat thereof, in
<br />Lane County, Oregon, and running thence South along the West line of Lawrence
<br />Street 124 feet to the Northeast corner of t,he lot or tract conveyed to F. L.
<br />Poindexter by deed recorded on page 4, of Volume "100" of the Deed Records of
<br />Lane County, thence West along the North line of said Poindexter lot, 150 feet,
<br />thence North 124 feet to the Southwest corner of said lot num'bered 25 and thence
<br />East 150 feet to the place of beginning, all being in and a pa.rt of the City of
<br />'Eu.gene, in Lane Cou.nty, Oregon.
