It appearing that the 'ran Cab Companies have done nothing to relieve the parking situation, and it was the consensus of opinion unless they had made sat- isfactory arrangements before the next council meeting that, an ordinance should be passed removing them from Willamet te Stree t parking. The 'Heal th, COl!llui ttee was instructed to recpmmend to Inspector Lawrence that he establish regular office hours on Tuesday and Saturday, so that ~e would be accessible to '/jhe people having business in his office. At this time Mayor Wilder appeared in Counc iI, and P re sid~nt Large turned over the gavel and resumed his seat in Council. Report of C. D. Thomas, @hief Inspector from the l1ureau of Labor of the State of Oregon, was read. It ~lso a'ppeared that Mr. Stokes of the State Fire Warden's Office had made an inspection of the building, but he had to retire from the Council meeting on account of illness. Mr. Rundlett reported that Mr. Stokes' opinion in general coincided with that of Mr. Thomas. After some discussion of the condi tion of the building, it was ordered that Hunzicker and 8mi th, Archi tects be employed to get out plans, and that the City advertise for bids for repairing the City Hall in accordance with these plans and for reshingling the building~ On motion Council adjourned. to meet at 7:30 o'clock P.
