M. for the purpose of consideration <br />of alleged ~riolation of the building code in the matter of construction of <br />a building by the J. W. C;;opeland Yards Company on the North side of 8th <br />Avenue West between Oli ve and Charne Iton Streets. <br /> <br />Dated at Eugene, Oregon, February 18th, 1932. <br /> <br />Elisha Large, Mayor. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Council Chambers, Eugene, Oregon, <br />Februar.y 18, 1932. <br /> <br />C()uncil me t pur suant to the ab ove call of the Mayor and was called <br />to order by Mayor Large with all councilmen present, except Simon. Representa- <br />tives of the J. W. Gopeland Yards Company were present and also members of <br />the Board of Appeals. <br /> <br />Councilman Jones and Graham Smi th, both members of the Board of <br />Appeals, stated to the Council that the building, as now being planned and <br />constructed by J. W. 'Gopeland Yards Company, is in conflict with the Building <br />Code, and that they shall be required to c.onform to the code. After some <br />discussion of this matter, Councilman Hendershott moved that the report of <br />the Board o~ Appeals be sustained by the Council. Motion was seconded, and <br />the ayes am! nays were called, Councilmen voting aye, Lamb, Hendershott, <br />Jl;dwards and Jones, nay, Reid and Zumwalt; Bond n,ot Voting; Absent Simon. The <br />Mayor ordered the motion carried. <br /> <br />Whereupon the Council, upon motion, adjourned. <br /> <br />R.
