Harlan, Secretary of the Chamher of Commerce, and Mr. A. L. William- son appeared before the Council urging that the City take steps to acquire funds from the Reconstruction Finance Corporation for use in public work to provide for unemployment, and also urged the Council to list the unemployed of the City. On motion duly seconded and carried it was ordered that the Recorder proceed to make a list of the unemployed permanent residents of the City of Eugene. ~ ~ Councilman Hendershott of the Finance Commi ttee reported the following . bills to the Council wi th the recommendation that they be allowed, and motion was made and seconded that warrants be drawn for the same.
