<br />with all Gouncilmen present except Reid and Scobert.

<br />LIinutes of the regular meeting of Uarch 27, 1933, and of the Special meeting
<br />of Aoril 3, 1933,. were read and approved.
<br />
<br />An audience beinp; present, was asked to address the Council, and remarks weI'e
<br />made on the matter of LUlIe and I,Leat Inspection, and discussion of the acts of the
<br />Council with x'ef'erence to the present Inspector. Remarks w.ei?e made b.y i,irs. Horton,
<br />Mrs. Gauley, Inspector Lawrence, and i,lr. Reese; and communication read from the
<br />Parent Teacher's Association and the .Board of Healtp.. No action was taleen at this
<br />time by the Council.

<br />Chairman Hendershott of 1:;he Finance Commi ttee reported the following bills
<br />to the Council \Jvith the recollliIlendation that they be allowed, and motion was made
<br />and seconded that warrants be drawn for the same. The ayes and nays were called,
<br />all councilmen present voting aye, nay, none, absent Reid and Scobert. ,

<br />Ghairman Lamb of the St.r'eet Commi ttee reported a tree in the alley at 163 Sixt
<br />Avenue East obstructing traffic, and on motion the Gity Attorney was dil~ected. to
<br />take steps to have the tree removed.

<br />Chairman Bond of the Fire and Water CO~l1ittee recom~ended that the bid of the
<br />Jfugene Foundry for :six fire hydrants at '1P44.60 each be accepted, upon the expressed
<br />cOi:1dition that the hydrants must be exact,duplicates of those now in use.
