The ayes and nays were callEd <br />Councilmen voting aye, '7, nay, none, absent Scobex't. The urdinance was declared <br />passed and numbered 8328. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />An application of Mr. E. L. Glaisyer, Veterinarian of Albany, Oregon, for the <br />position of Cit;sl J\Hlk and lileat Inspector, was read and l~efer.r'ed, by It1ayor Large, <br />to the Health Camilli ttee and noa.r'd of Health. <br /> <br />A communica tion from Hr. VIm. LI. Briggs to ;,Iayo.r Large, .r'elating to alleged <br />assessments due from the City, was read and the Recorder instftlcted to advise them <br />I' that our contribution was the full amount which we expect 'GO donate to the service <br />.I of the Municipal League in Legisla tive mattei's. <br /> <br /> <br />i <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />A communication from Mr. R. L. Neuberger, Editor of ehe Oregon Emerald, with <br />referenc e to ins tallati on of stop signals at the corners of 13 th Avenue and <br />University Street and 13th Avenue and Kincaid Street, vms referred to the Police <br />C offilui t tee. <br /> <br />Councilman Hendershott rej)orted that the Benefi t Virestling I~latch had resulted <br />in the receipt of $159.60 for the benefit of City charit~v, and moved that the City <br />express its thanks both to Llr.
