The ayes and nays were called" Councilmen voting aye 7, nay, <br /> none, absent Scobert. The Ordinance was declared passed and numbered 8337. <br /> An Ordinance declaring the intention of the Common Council of the City of <br /> Eugene to make a reassessment of the cost of opening 17th Avenue f.rom Lawrence <br /> St.reet to the East line of Hollenbeck's Addition in the City of Eugene, as_the same <br /> benefits the properties hereinafter described, and fixing a time and place for <br /> holding a meeting of the Common Counc i1 at which allprot'ests against su.ch reassess- <br /> ment shall be heard, and directing the giving of notices, ,was .read the first time <br /> .- and passed its second and third readings under suspension of the .rule by unanimous <br /> ,c onsent of the Counc il, and was placed upon its final passage. The aye s and nays <br /> were called, Councilmen voting aye 7, nay none, absent Scobert. The Ordinance was <br /> declared passed and nu.mbered 8338. <br /> The following .re~olution was read: <br /> RES 0 L UT ION <br /> WHEREAS, nego~iations are pending for re-.rental of a .room containing <br /> approximately 289 square feet of floor space on the second floor of the City Hall <br /> Building, situated on the West side of Willamette Street between Eleventh and <br /> ~welfth Streets in Eugene, Oregon, to the Vnited States of America for the period <br /> beginning July 1, 1933 and ending July 31, 1933, and thereafte.r from month to <br /> I month until 'June 30, 1934, subj~ct to the .right of either party, to terminate the, <br /> leas~ on one calendar month's notice; at a rental rate of $120.00 per annum. <br /> Payable at the end of each calenda.r Month. <br /> - <br /> NOW; THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City of Eugene approve said lease in <br /> accordance with all the terms thereof, and that the Mayor and Recorder be and are <br /> hereby authorized to execute said lease on behalf of said City of Eugene. <br /> Adopted by the Common Council June 26, 1933. <br /> On mbtbon"the Council adjou.rned. <br /> '.'
