Vlew of the wldenlng of the Street. 'The matter was referred liO the <br />Street Committee. Some discussion was also had as to the protection of traffic on <br />account of the new construction of the street on Broadway East of the Railroad <br />track, and also on account of the na~rowing of F~anklin St~eet at this point to a <br />20 foot st~eet. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The following Resolution was, on motion, adopted by the Council: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, David C. Boyd died on April 20th, 1934, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at the time of his death he was and had been <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />for many years a trusted and faithful employee of t~e City <br /> <br />of Eugene, and was held in high regard and ~espect by all who <br /> <br />knew him, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it ~esolved by the Uayor and Common <br /> <br />Counci 1 of the Ci ty of Euf,ene, - that _ vvhile we accept the decree <br />of a Su:preme Power, ye t do we deplore the loss of a valued <br /> <br />employee, a citizen of outstanding worth, a courteous and <br /> <br />kindly,gentleman. <br /> <br />, <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />Ij <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />That we extend to his family our sincere sympathy in <br />their bereavement, and that this resolution be spread upon <br />the minutes of this meeting and a copy fo~warded to the <br />family of deceased. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />On motion the Council adjou~ned. <br /> <br />R.
