<br /> A dispute of two residents just beyond the city limits, with reference to

<br /> certain property not needed for pUblic use, and determining the propriety Of the
<br /> sale and the value received as consideration therefor, was read the first time and

<br /> unanimous consent of the Council, and was placed upon its final passage. The ayes

<br /> at 526 Willamette Street in the city of ~ugene, and directing plans and specif1-
<br /> ca tions to be filed with the Ci ty Recorder, and for the making of the costs a lien
<br /> upon the property, was read the first time and passed its second and third readings
<br /> by title under suspension of the rule by the unanimous consent of the Council, and
<br /> was placed upon its final passage. The ayes and :cays were called, Councilmen

<br />. A statement by the Eugene City Council of the iroposed measure on the
<br /> in the November 6th Election for the issuance of "78,650.00 Bonds, was read
<br /> motion duly adopted by the Council.
<br /> A committee from the Chamber of Commeroe on Park beautification appeared
<br /> before the Council, and Professor DeCou addressed the Council on the matter of
<br /> planting trees on the South slope of Skinner's Butte Park in connection with the
<br /> annual Armistice Day celeb~tion, in commemoration of the Soldiers who lost their
<br /> lives in defense of our country; and the fOllowing Resolution was read and adopted:
