<br /> Minutes of the adjourned meeting of the Common Council held at the hour of
<br /> 7:3Qo'eloc~ P. M., AugUEt 5, 1935. Council was called to order by Mayor Large,
<br /> wi th')all. Councilmen present except Reid and. Simon.
<br /> Sealed bids for the sale of $190,500.00 Refunding Improvement Bonds F, from
<br /> Ferrts & Hardgrove, were opened and read, and the Finance Committee retired to
<br /> consider said bid. They returned later with the recommendation that the bid of
<br /> I Ferris & Hardgrove be accepted. Motion was made and seconded to accept the
<br /> Finance Committee's recommendation, and the ayes and nays were called. Councilmen
<br /> I
<br /> I voting aye 6, nay none, absent,Reid and Simon. The bid referred to being set out
<br /> I

<br /> dated August 15th, 1935, and maturing as follows: $19,000.00 August 15, 1937,
<br /> $19,000.00 August 15th of each succeeding year. to and including August 15,1945,
<br /> and $19,500.00 August 15, 1946, bearing interest at 3-3/4 % per annum, payable
<br /> semi-annually on the fi:fteenth day of August and February of each year, both
<br /> principal and interest payable at the office of the City Treasurer at Eugene,
<br /> Oregon, and without right of pr-lor redemption.
<br /> WE WILL PAY $100.37 for each $100.00 par value of bonds plus accrued interest
<br /> r from date of bonds to date of delivery to us.
<br /> The approving opinion of , Messrs. Teal, Winfree, McCulloch, Shuler & Kelly I
<br /> of Portland, Ore~on, as to the legality of these bonds Is to be furnished us
<br /> upon delivery of the bonds.

<br /> I Refunding Improvement Bonds UP", of the City of Eugene, in the sum of $190,500.00
<br /> and ~ixing the rate of interest on said bonds, was read the first time and passed
<br /> its second and third readings by title under suspension of the rule, by the
<br /> I unanimous consent of the Council, and was placed upon its final passage. The ayes
<br /> and nays were called, Councilmen voting aye 6, nay 0, absent, Reid and Simon. The
<br /> Ordinance was declared passed and numbered 8432.
