<br /> I I Pursuant to notice of Special Council M"eeting, the council was called to

<br /> order in special session by Mayor Large at 5 ~OO 0' clock, p. ID.,. Thursday, July
<br /> 30~ 1936, all councilmen present except Simon, Carlson and Harris.
<br /> Counc i lman Bond reported that, Mr. Art Ri chards has of fered the city of
<br /> Eugene, $150Q~00 for the following described property,. to-wit:
<br /> I Beginning at the intersection of the East line of
<br /> Lincoln Street with the North line of Third Street
<br /> if extended, running thence East along the North
<br /> line of Third Street 136 feet more or less to a
<br /> point 498 feet West of the West line of Olive Street
<br /> if extended, running thence South to the Oregon
<br /> and California Railroad Companyls right of way (Sou-
<br /> thern Pacific Company lessee} thence North 80 de-
<br /> . grees 10' West along said right of way to the East
<br /> line of lincoln Street, and, thence North to the
<br /> place of beginning,
<br /> I on the following terms, $200.00 down, five years to pay the bj[ance, the monthly
<br /> paymen~s and interest at the rate of 6% on the unpaid balance. Motion was made
<br /> and seconded that said offer be accepted. The city attorney was instructed to
<br /> prepare the papers and the Mayor and Recorder to execute the same. The a{?es and
<br /> and nays were called~ councilmen voting aye 5; nay, none; absent Simon, Harris
<br /> I and Carlson.

<br /> I WHEREA S , the City of Eugene owns the following described real estate, to-wit:

<br /> point 498 feet West of the ~est line of Olive Street,

<br /> of Eugene has caused the same to be appraised and a valuation placed upon it, which
<br /> valuation so fixed is $1500.00, and
<br /> WHEREAS, negotiations have been made for the sale of the same
