Hendershott and Effie <br /> <br />P. Hendershott deeding said property to the City of Eugene, <br />absolutely and unqualifiedly, that the City of Eugene <br />hereby directs the Ci ty Recorder and Mayor to enter: into <br /> <br />an agreement of option with the said Arthur H. Hendershott <br /> <br />and Effie P. Hendershott with regard to <br /> <br />Lots 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16, Block 2, Victoria <br />Heights Replat of Blocks 3, 5, 6 and Lot 7, <br />Block 4, of Victoria Heights ~ddition to Eugene, <br />Lane County, Oregon. <br /> <br />granting them until April 12, 1938 the right to purchase <br /> <br />said property at the price set opposite the same in the <br />contract of option, to-wit: $1952.69, together with interest <br />thereon at 6% from May 8, 1937 until said option is excercised, <br /> <br />and in case said option is not exercised before April 12, 1938 <br /> <br />s'~d option shall terminate and ~l rights of said Arthur H. <br /> <br />Hendershott and Effie P. Hendershott shall be lost. <br /> <br />Resolution directing the Mayor and Recorder to enter into a contract on <br />behalf of the city and Homer B. Legge was upon motion made .and seconded duly <br />accepted: <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City.of Eugene has acquired Lot 6, Block 2, <br /> <br />Tiff's Plat, in the City of Eugene, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Eugene has caused the same to be <br /> <br />appr~ised and determined its value, and <br /> <br />WHER~AS, Homer B. Legge and Myr~na L. Legqe have offered <br />the City $200~OO for said property, which accordin~ to the <br /> <br />appraisement is all that the property is worth, <br /> <br />NOW, Therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of ,the City of ~ugene <br /> <br />that the Mayor and Recorder be and they are hereby directed <br /> <br />to enter into the annexed contract on behalf of the City of <br /> <br />Eugene, and payments made under said contract shall be de- <br /> <br />posited with the City Treasurer of said City. <br /> <br />Mr. Wade H. Kerr, representing the Lane County Reserve ufficers' Ass'n., <br />stated that he had been delegated by his association to appear before the council <br />with the request that they ext~nd an invitation to the State R. O. A. to hold their <br />~onvention in Eugene in 1938. The local delegation of which he is a member is to <br />attend the convention to be held in Hood River this month and asked if a decision 0 <br />the part of the council could be reached prior to that time. Upon rnotion~ made, <br />seconded and duly carried, the council unanimously extended a most cordial invita- <br />tion to the R. o. A. of the ;:jtate of Oregon, to hold the annual convention in Eugen <br />in 1938 and the Secretary was instructed to prepBrA suitable letters for the Eu~ene <br />delegation to transmit to the delegation in Hood River. <br /> <br /> <br />Upon motion made and seconded the meeting was aojourned to meet again <br />on April 26, 1937. <br /> <br />City Recorder <br /> <br />~ <br />
