Powell <br /> <br />Relative ~o the appointments of city employees, Mayor Large wished <br />to appoint John.Quiner, employed in the Engineer's Department, as oftice engineer <br />at a salary of $130.00 per month and Robert Roe,. also employed by the Engineer <br />Uerartment as transitman and draftsman at $133.33 and at the same time to appoint <br />Roy Loomis and Glenn Thorpe to the Street Derartment at $100.00 per month. These <br />27 appointments were duly confirmed by the council. <br />, <br /> <br />On behalf of the council, Mayor Large accep,ted v!ith regret the resigna- <br />tion of A. A. Reid, councilman of the Second ~ard. the council approved the <br />28 mayor's action and all expressed regret in Mr. Reid's depE~rture from the council. <br />I <br />Councilman Bond, chairman of the Police Committee, asked that the two- <br />hour parking lin:it on Park Street be enforced. Mr. Levan:. Street Commissioner, wa <br />129 instructed to secure and install the signs and it was so ordered. <br /> <br />Mr. C. F. Ford, Salvation Army Major, asked that the council adoot a <br />definite policy as to the disposition of the $3500:00 for relief purposes ~o that <br />they would know how to proceed. It was his opinion that this fund was budgeted fo, <br />Salvation Army purposes. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />/30 <br />31 <br /> <br />There being no further business, the council waG herewith adjourned. <br /> <br />C.
