Resolution authorizing the Mayor and Recorder to execute a contract on behalf of the City of Eugene between the State Highway Commission, was adopted by unanimou 17 consent of the council: I RES 0 L.U T ION Ba IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Common Council of the CIty of Eugene that that certain contract prepared by the attorney for the State Highway Commission between the State of Oregon and the City of Eugene having to do with the installation of traffic signals at the following intersections in the City of' Eugene, to-wit: Intersection of Sixth and Willamette Streets Intersection of Seventh and Willamette Streets Intersection of Eighth and Willamette Streets' lnterseetion of Broadway and Willamette Streets Intersection of Broadway and Oak Streets lntersection of Tenth and Willamette Streets Intersection of Eleventh and Willamette Streets a copy of which contract is hereto attached; shall be entered into by the City of Eugene and executed on its behalf by the Mayor and I the City Recorder, and they are hereby directed to sign six copies and transmit the same to the State Highway Commission and to receive in return two copies signed by the State Highway Commission. P. J. Bartle, of the EUgene. Hospl- tal and Clinic, regarding the responsibility of the city for patients sent to the ;19 hospital from the County Jail. The letter was ordered filed. It was pointed out by the City Recorder that warrant #48281 dated May 31p193~ in the amount of $62.60 drawn to the favor of Eugene Sand and Gravel Company had been mailed to said Company on JUne 20, 1938 and reported "not. received" by them up to this present time, and they request that a duplicate warrant be prepared.. They have agreed to sign a statement that In case the first warrant comes to their hands that they will return the same to the city.
