NOTICE OF SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING , <br /> The Recorder is hereby authorized to, call a special meeting of the Connnon Counc il to <br /> meet at five o'clock this P. M., July II, 1939. to consider an ordinance regarding sewage disposal. <br /> /s/ Elisha Large I <br /> Mayor <br /> Council Chambers, Eugene, Oregon <br /> July II, 1939 5:00 o'clock P.M. <br /> In accordance with a call by the Mayor for a Special Council Meeting the Council met and <br /> was called to order by the Mayor, Elisha Large.- A roll call showed that councilIlEm present were: <br /> Messrs: Reid, Bond. Farrington. Hanna, Page, Koppe, Carlson and Lamb. absent: none. <br /> City Attorney Calkins explained to the Council that an Ordinance presented at this til1B <br /> was merely to make a correction in certain ordinance ordinances concerning sewage disposal tlat had <br /> been passed previously. He explained that when Ordinance #8583 was passed the words "or both" <br /> were omitted from the last part of Section 2 of that ordinance; that Ordinance No. 8598 was subsequen ly <br /> passed to correct ~is error. In the mean time ordinance 8590 had been passed and when No. 8598 <br /> was passed certain sections in this ordinance No. 8590 ~not included. That the ordinance nav <br /> presented to the Council corrects this defect. <br /> < <br /> The new ordinance was read the first time and on motion made and secon:led the rules were <br /> suspended and the ordinance ordered read the second time by title; all oouncilm.en voting for <br /> suspension of the rules. The ordinance was read by title the second time and on motion made and I <br /> seconded the rules were further suspended and "the ordinance ordered read the third time by title; <br /> all councilmen voting for suspension of the rules. The ordinance was read by title the tihrd time <br /> and ordered passed. The ayes and nays were called, Councilmen voting aye: Lamb , Reid, Bond, Carlson <br /> i Farrington, Hanna, Page, and Koppe, nay: none; absent: none. The ordinance was declared passed and <br /> numbered 8610. <br /> was <br /> Upon motion made and seconi ed the IOOeting( adjourned., <br /> C. M.
