<br /> would be necessary to increase the amount appropriated rrom $700.00 to $1000.00.

<br /> Councilman Farrington presented the question of furnishing City Directories
<br /> r~r the City of Eugene stating that the City of Eugene could satisfactorily use six
<br /> hity directories. R. L. Polk & Company offered the directories at $10..00 each and
<br /> !the Valley Prin"t.ing Company offered them at $12.,5.0 -each. ,It was the recomm.endation
<br /> of the Committee to buy from the Valley Printing Company if they would meet the
<br /> ~olk Company prices, if not, the PolkdirBctories were to be purchased. The ayes
<br /> ~nd nays were called, councilmen voting aye= Farrington, Hanns, and Page, nay~
<br /> Lamb, Reid, Bond and Koppe, absent: Carlson. The recommendation was declared denied.
