Clubb, City Engineer, regarding a $5.00 annual charge <br />'<af-". <br />~v.. <br />v'l for a sewer connection for Mrs. Carrie T. Anderson, who lives outside the City was <br />t.:i read. Mr. Clubb stated that Mrs. Anderson contended that certain right of way had <br />.-.... been granted to the City which entitled her to use the connection without paying <br />'--" <br /> the $5.00 annual charge. Mr. Clubb stated he had some correspondence concerning <br /> this with Mrs. Anderson and could go no further until he ,had instruction from the <br /> council as to what to do. Attorney Calkins reGd the contract that had been given <br /> the City regarding the sewer right of way and said it was his opinion that this I <br /> sewer right of way did not exempt Mrs. Anderson from paying the $5.00 annual charge <br /> A motion was made and seconded and carried that the Recorder be instructed to <br /> notify Mrs. Anderson that the right of way did not exempt her from paying a $5.00 <br />26 annual fee and that this would have to be paid if she wished to use the sewer. <br /> A resolution authorizing the Mayor and City Recorder pro-tem to execute <br /> a deed for a sewer right of way for certain property to Frank A. Tripp and Sadie <br /> Tripp was passed. <br /> RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Eugene <br /> that the Mayor and the City Recorder pro tem be and they are <br /> hereby authorized and directed to make, execute and deliver to <br /> Frank A. Tripp and Sadie Tripp a bargain and sale deed to the <br /> following desciibed real property, to-wit: <br /> A right of.way three feet wide in which to lay <br /> down and maintain a sewer connecting the West <br /> 50 feet of Lots 5 and 6, Block 7, College Hill .Park <br /> Addition, with the sewer on.Olive Street, all in <br /> the City of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, and more <br /> particularly described as follows: <br /> A strip of land 3 feet wide 'along the North line .1 <br /> of the East 100 feet of the South 54 feet of Lot 5, , <br /> Block 7, College Hill Park Addition to Eugene, Lane <br />27 County, Oregon. <br /> A resolution authorizing the Mayor and City Recorder' pro "tem to execute - <br /> a deed with H. I <br /> The following'recommendations of the ~oard of Appeals were accepted by the <br /> council. <br /> A request was received from W. Logan Jones asking for a reclassification <br /> of Lot 1, Block 5, Chambers Addition, located at the, 'southwest corner of the inter- <br /> section of Taylor Street and 11th Avenue, for the purpose of erecting a service <br />29 station. The Boar~ recornmends that this request be denied. <br /> A request was received from Harry H. HOOd asking for a permit to move I <br /> the old house at the southuast corner of the intersection of Lawerence Street and <br /> 6th Avenue to the rear of the lot with a short set-back as possible. The Board <br />30 recornmends the permit be granted with a fourteen (14 ) foot set-back. <br /> A request was received from Pietro La Calsi asking for permission to . , <br /> rent his house at l7~ Lawerence as an apartment house. He stated that he is 7? ' <br /> years old and has a pension of $16.00 per month and would like to obtain some incpm <br /> from the property to help on his tax account.
