<br /> The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved and the meeting
<br /> herewith called to order by Mayor Large. There was no one in the council rDom
<br /> who wished to address t4e council and the Mayor called for committee reports.
<br /> 2 Judiciary Cornmittee had no report.
<br /> The Finance Committee presented the property offers. , I.
<br /> The offer of Andrew W. Goddard of $100.00 cash or: $150.00 with terms of
<br /> $50.00 down and the balance at $5.00 per month plus interest at 6% for Lot 8~ Block
<br /> 4, Shelton's First Addition was held for the appraisal price of $200.00 by the
<br /> 3 Finance Committee and the council.
<br /> The offer of M. E. Moore of $200.00, $30.00 cash and the balance at $5.00
<br /> or more per,month pluscinterest at 6% for the North 4o~feet of Lots 2 and 3, Block
<br /> 4 1, Ree's Addition was accepted by the Finance Committee and the council.
<br /> The offer of Grace Moore, of $75.00 cash for the East 49 feet of Lot 1,
<br /> 5~ Block 4, Travis Addition was accepted by the Finance Committee and the council.
<br /> The offer of B. R. Andrus of $600.00, $100.00 cash and the balance at $15.0
<br /> per month plus interest at 6% for Lots 2 and 3, Block 1, Zimmer's Addition was
<br /> 6 accepted by the Finance Committee and the council.
<br /> The offer of W. D. Weber of $375.00 cash for Lot 3, Block 2, Gilmore Addi-
<br /> 7 J ~ion was held for the appraisal price of $475.00 by the Finance Committee. On
<br /> motion made and seconded this recommendation of the Finance Committee was adopted
<br /> by the council. .
<br /> The offer of V. C. Engwall of $1000.00 cash for the East 90 feet, of Lots
<br /> 6 and the East 90 feet of the South 4Q feet of Lot 5, Block 13, COllege Hill Park I
<br /> 8 Addition was accepted by the Finance ~oInmittee and the council.
<br /> A request from the United Lutheran Church for Lots 7, 8 and 9, Block 1,
<br /> 9 Teshner's Addition as to price was quoted at $1350~00 for. the three lots. '
<br /> The offe,r of Ward V. Croft of $500.00, $100.00 cash and terms on balance fo
<br /> Lot 9, Block 4, Gross Addition was held for the appraisal price by the Finance-
<br /> 10 Committee and the council.
<br /> The offer of Ward V. Croft of $500.00 cash for Lot 10, Block 4, Gross
<br /> 11 Addition was held for the appraisal price by the Finance Committee and the 'council.
<br /> The offer of W. S. Hayden of $300.00 cash for a triangular piece of propert
<br /> 42 x 149.59 at 13th and Moss Street was rej ected by the li'inance Committee and the
<br /> 12 council.
<br /> The offer of A. L. Hawn of $350.00 cash for the East i of Lot 6, Block 6,
<br /> 13 Fairmount Heights Addition was accepted by the Finance Cow~ittee and the council..
<br /> The offer of James C. Peebles of $600.00 cash for Lot 15, Block 4, Fair-
<br /> moun~ Addition, was held at the previous .counter offer of $675.00 with $75.00
<br /> returnable if construction is started within 90 days. This was adopted by the
<br /> 14 Finance Committee and council.
<br /> .
<br /> Councilman Farrington st2ted that there were two lots on Victoria Heights I
<br /> (Lots 11 and 12, Block 3, Replat) which the State Highway wished to purchase at
<br /> a price of $544.00 and ,he asked that the council give Mayor Large authority to
<br /> close this deal with the State Highway Commission. On motion made and seconded
<br /> 15 this request was granted.
<br /> The bills for the month of September were presented to the council and upon
<br /> 16 roll call were allowed. Stewart and Brownson absent. .
