<br />I Property.offers were presented by the Finance Committee at this time. The
<br />II. offer of J. M. Kennedy, $200.00 for the north 60 feet of lot 1 in block 6, Shelton'
<br />I' Fir~t Addition was rejected, ~nd a count~r offer of $250.00 was made. The offer
<br />) of.l:!i. G. Blown to trade a str1.p of land 1.1;1 Tyler Street 13'.33 feet wide from
<br />~ 8th to 9th, for city lot 40.2 feet by 59.92 feet at N. W. corner of 9th and Tyler
<br />111 Streets was accepted. The offer of John Allum of $210.00 cash for lot 10 in
<br />, block 3 of Pearl Addition except that part in the Amazon ditch, was accepted.
<br />I: The offer of J. P . Galvin, $50.00 cash for the west 59 feet of lot 4 in block
<br />I: 3, . Agate Plat, was rejected, but a counter offer of $75.00 was made. The offer
<br />III of the. Sam Rugh Realty Company for Frank Wills, $1,000.00 cash for 'the. East 90

<br />I; of College Hill Park, was rejected, but a counter offer of $1,260.00 was made.

<br />Ii,! Councilman Farrington stated tha tthey hael a request from O. A. Prince in.
<br />: which he asked a. price on a metes and bounds tract starting" 80 feet west of Pearl
<br />! Street and just north of a road leading around the south side of the Butte. . This
<br />!! tract formerly belonged to the Eugene'. Box Company ahd was foreclosed on by the.
<br />3 It: City of Eugene for liens. The amount of the certificate issued to the City of'
<br />i Eugene June 18, 1940, was $321.60 and Councilman Farrington said it was the
<br />,i recommendation of the Finance Committee that this amount, together with interest
<br />I: and penalties, should be paid by IvTr.. Prince. The total amount of this figure up
<br />j to N6vember lOth would be $412.81. Tn addition to this, there would be t~~es
<br />I: Mr. Prince would have to pay in order to clear the property. On motion mad.e,
<br />I: seconded, and carried, the recommendation of the Finance Committee was adopted.
