<br />: Councilman Davis reporting for the Street Committee asked for two more
<br />II! weeks to make a report regarding the opening of Filmore Street.

<br />12) very much concerned regarding the low number of employees on the Fire Department
<br />'I but that three new recruits had been secured and that this had eased the situa-

<br />i The following letters were read from the Board of Appeals:
<br />i "The Board of Appeals has received a request "from Rev. Ray K. Reed, asking
<br />141 for permission to use a proposed new residence at the northwest corner of
<br />, the interestion of 12th Avenue and Polk street as an aircraft repair shop.
<br />I He is making this request for the "duration" and would then complete the
<br />:1 structure and use it as a residence.
<br />:1 The Board recommends that the request be granted."

<br />: "A request had been received from the Souther Pacific Rai~read Company for 1-
<br />a permit to erect a shed 27 feet by 40 feet between the'station and the
<br />15 'Express office to handle the excessive gaggage and" mail, the shed to be a
<br />, temporary nature for the "duration".

<br />On motion made, seconded and carried the recommendation of the Board

<br />A request for a transfer of a Package Store Clas~ A Beer license at
<br />16: the M & K Market at 1597 West 11th from Morgan and Kennedy to the General llroc-
<br />ery Company was allowed.

<br />The following resolution authorizing the Mayor' and 'the Recorder to sign
<br />a ,permit for the United Air Lines to' le'ase a prt of their Administration Building
<br />17 at the Municipal Airport to the U.S. Army was passed:

<br />lease by the United Air Lines for a part of the Administration
<br />: Building at the Municip~Airport to the United StatesoArmy, and

<br />, ViliEREAS, the United Air Lines' has requested the City to sign a
<br />: consent and permit forthe sublet of said lease,

<br />I BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL of the City of Eugene that the
<br />, Mayor and Recorder be and they are hereby authorized and directed
<br />: to sign a permit and consent and transmit the same to the United
