Councilman Ste~art made a motion that section three <br /> f <br /> 'I of this resolution should be changed for the amendments to be put on the <br /> , <br /> , November election instead of the May election, and this motion was seconded by <br /> I <br /> ,I <br /> 32 Ii Barette. Councilman Crumbaker suggested that this resolution might be changed <br /> so that the committee could recommend whether it should be put on the Mayor <br /> Ii November election. Council~an Stewart stated that this would be agreeable to <br /> l; him and if Mr. Barette approved he would withdraw his motion. Mr. Barette <br /> I: <br /> I: stated he was willing that the motion be withdrawn. <br /> The following motion was made by Farrington and seconded by Hawn: <br /> " I move: <br /> I: (1) that the mayor appoint a charter commission of seven members, four <br /> I to be members of the City Council, three to be citizens and tax- <br /> i, payers of Eugene not now attached to the City Government: <br /> I' (2)that the charter commission be instructed to prepare necessary and <br /> I' <br /> " suitable amendments to the charter of the City of Eugene to create <br /> Ii <br /> I' the office of municipal superintendant and provide his qualifications, <br /> Ii <br /> j, powers and duties; and to provide for the re-allocation of powers and <br /> I: duties incidental thereto: <br /> I, <br /> ~!
