<br />NOTiCE IS HEBEBY GIVEN on this 7th day of February, 1945
<br />the Mayor of Eugene hereby calls a meeting to be held at
<br />7:30 P.M. in the Mayorts Office of the C~ty of Eugene for
<br />- the following purpose:

<br />To consider the leasing of ground space to the United
<br />States for the use of the Federal Public Housing Admin-
<br />istration.

<br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor McNutt, Councilmen present
<br />were, Koppe, Crumbaker, Hawn, Davis, Bailey, Hurley and Allen. Absent,
<br />Johnson. ~
<br />
<br />The matter of the leasing of the ground and the construction of the
<br />housing was explained to the Council by Norman Plummer, representing the
<br />Government for the Federal Public Housing Administration. The following
<br />tract of ground was offered to the Government:
<br />
<br />Beginning at a point on the.west line of Huddlestons Donation
<br />Land Claim 37 in Section 36, Township 17, south range.4 west
<br />Willamette Meridian 1381.23 feet north of the. southwest corner
<br />running thence east along the north line of 13th avenue west,
<br />934.3~feet, thenee north 334.c5 feet to the South line of 12th
<br />avenue west, thence west 934.33 feet to the said west l~ne of
<br />Huddlestons Donation Land Calim and thence south 334.25 feet
<br />to the place of beginning, except the west 33 feet more or less
<br />lying in Chambers Street, containing 6.92 acres more or less-
<br />all in the City of Eugene, Lane County, State of Oregon.
<br />
<br />After due consideration by the Council a motion was made and seconded
<br />that the Council offer to lease to the Government the above tract of land and
<br />that the Mayor and Recorder be authorized to execute said offer of lease on ~
<br />behalf of the Council. On vote this motion was carried. A motion was made
<br />and seconded that the Mayor and Recorder be authorized to execute the right
<br />of entry by the Government to the tract above referred to. On vote this
<br />motmon was carried.
