February 12, 1945 I The minutes of the regular meeting of the City Council, held February 12th at 1":30 PM The meeting was called to order by Mayor McNutt. All Councilmen present except Hurley. The minutes last regular meeting of the Council held January 22, 1945 and of speQial meeting held February 7th, upon motion were considered re~d and approved. Mayor McNutt announced the appointment of the members of the Finance Committee as the membership of the Airport Committee. This committee being V. Edwrin Johnson, Calvin Crumb- 1 baker, and A. L.. Hawn. Mr. Jolmson reporting for the Airport Committee stated that no comm- itments be made until the Government has surrendered their lease of the Airport. The Finance Committee submitted the following report and recommendations on offers to purchase CitY-~Tned property: $3000.00 for lots 17, 18, 19, McClarens Plat (south side 1st Blair). Terms: $600.00 cash and balance in three years. $4872.00 Peters Lumber Company offers avenue west 290 feet west of Appraisal: $1624.00 each Hold for Appraisal F. R. Reid offers $10.00 for strip 4.98 feet by 147 feet lying east of Tyler street, south of 3 ! 8th. No Appraisal Accepted 2 4 Arnt Ree offers $30~00 for 6 foot strip on the east side Willamette Street beginning 182.72 feet south of 17th). (City or County has not foreclosed on this).
