<br /> Ordina nc e No. 8910, of the Ci ty of Eugene, passed by the
<br />~., Cornmon Counc il on June 10, 1946, and approved by the Mayor on June 11, 1946, di-
<br />-. vided the City of Eugene into wards and established boundaries of the Fourth-Ward
<br /> as follows: ,

<br /> All that part of the City of Eugene lying West of the center
<br /> line of Willamette Street and South of the center line of West
<br /> Broadway as extended to the City Limits, shall constitute and
<br /> be thereafter designated as the Fourth Ward of the City of
<br /> Eugene;
<br /> and,
<br /> VffiEREAS, by reason of a recent city election duly and regularly had for
<br /> the annexation of certain property to the Gity of Eugene, the following described
<br /> i property was annexed to the City of Eugene, to~wit:
<br /> i
<br /> Commencing at the intersection of the South line of 22nd Avenue
<br /> West and the West City limits of the City of Eugene, running
<br /> thence North along the West City Limits to the South line of
<br /> 15th Avenue West, thence westerly along the South City limits
<br /> of Eugene to a point 903 feet East of Chambers Street, being
<br /> the East line of the municipal airport, thence South 520 feet
<br /> to the south line of D.L.C. No. 37, thence West 83.3 feet,
<br /> thence South 530 feet to the center line of 18th Avenue West,
<br /> if extended, thence East 571 feet to the West line of Polk
<br /> I Street, thence South 20 feet, thence East along the South
<br /> I line of 18th Avenue West 378 feet to the East line of the
<br /> municipal airport, thence South along the East line of the
<br /> municipal airport 1745 feet to the South line of 22nd Avenue
<br /> West, if produced west, thence East 2400 feet to the place of
<br /> beginning; I
<br /> I and, I
<br /> WHEREAS, said annexed property falls within and becomes a part of the
<br /> aforesaid Fourth Wa~
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED, tlillt the above described property annexed
<br /> tot he City of Eugene as aforesaid, be and the same is decl ared to be a part of
<br /> I the Fourth Ward of the City of Eugene aforesaid, and that the Councilman elected
<br /> to serve the said Fourth Ward shall continue to serve and represent the people of
<br /> said annexed property as heretofore and until succeeded in the manner provided by
<br /> law. "
<br /> It was moved by Crumbaker, seconded by Hawn that the resolution be adopted.
<br /> i A resolution -- Re: Opening of Tyler Street from 12th to 14th Avenues,
<br />33 I was s ub.m.i tted and read.
<br /> "WHEREAS, the Corunon Council of the City of Eugene, by Resolution duly
<br /> adopted September 9, 1946, determined to open, layout and establish Tyler Street
<br /> between 12th Avenue West and 14th Avenue West; and,
<br /> VlHEHEAS, the report and plat of the City Engineer for the opening of
<br /> said street was duly made and filed and thereafter duly adopted by the Common
<br /> Cou~cil by ordinance No. 8919 passed by the Common Council July 8, 1946 and
<br /> approved by the Mayor July 30, 194 6 ; and
<br /> WHEF.EAS, the viewers duly appointed by said Ordinance made and filed a
<br /> report of their findings of benefits and damages to the property benefitted and
<br /> property damaged by the proposed opening of said street;
<br /> VVHEREAS, after due notice of the consideration of said report, the same
<br /> was duly adopted by Ordinance No. 8919 which was passed by the Corunon Council on
<br /> , July 8, 1946, and approved by the Mayor on July 30, 1946; and
<br /> I WHEREAS, the damages sustained by the taking of property in said street
<br /> i opening belonging to Frank S. Hallock and Bertha L. Hallock was fixed in the
<br /> : amount of $1,000.00 and the damages sustained in the taking of property in said
<br /> I street opening belonging to Dora Duedall and others, was fixed in the amount of
<br /> ! $250.00, that being all of the property taken, with no specific benefits to any :1
<br /> I property owners; and
<br /> I WHEREAS, no objections to said report of the viewers have been filed
<br /> and the time for appeal has now expired,
<br /> NOW, THEREFOF.E , BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
<br /> Eugene, that the following described property, being the property described in said
<br /> engineer's report and in said Viewers' report, and the Ordinance adopting,the
<br /> Viewers' report, to-wit:
