The meeting was called to order by his Honor, Mayor Earl McNutt. Councilmen present at rollcall were - Hawn, Davis, Crumbaker, Bailey, Johnson and Wells. Allen and Pennington absent. . This being the date set by<the Common Council for the consideration of bids on various improvement projects, the City Manager-reported the receipt of bids as follows, all of which had been previously publicly opened and scheduled as per the official published bid calls: On the proposed improvement of Harris Street from 18th to 28th Avenues 1 East, the following bids were presented.: I " I', Del R. ( $71,493.15 73,556.30 68, 163.75 I: United Contracting Company i: I Acme Construction Company ;; Bids were in proper .order and accompanied by certified checks or bid bonds in the specified amounts. It was moved by Davis, ~econded by Crumbaker that the bids be held for further consideration and referred to the Committee on Public Works for a special meeting with representative property owners to be affected by the improvement and to re- port back its findings to the Common Council.
