" Council on the 11th .day of March, 1946 and filing of this vacation with the ~.-A'l' ~ County Clerk had been held up pending the securing of the outlet to 15th Street. ...,. ~ 'A motion was made by Hawn and seconded by Davis and carried that the Recorder ~ be instructed to record the deeds for the outlet to 15th Street and file a copy of the vacation proceeding with the Coun~y Clerk. The meeting was called to order by his Honor, Mayor Earl McNutt. Councilmen present at rollcall were - Davis, Crumbaker, Bailey, Johnson and Wells. ,- A report -of the Public Works Committee was submitted and read as follows: "Your Committee on Public Works to whom was referred the matter of street paving begs to report as follows: I , ' That we recommend the award of contracts to the low bidder, Acme Construction Company for the improvement of Monroe Street from 19th to 22nd, Nixon Street from 24th to 25th and Tyler Street from 12th to 13th. We further recommend. that the matter of award of contract for the im- provement of Harris Street from 18th to 28th be held. in abeyance by the Committee :i and that the City Manager be instructed to further poll the property owners to '.1 determine i,f the entire project or a portion of the project should be undertaken at this time." ,I J I .i I ,I It was moved by Crumbaker, seconded by Johnson that the report be adopted. Motion carried. It was 'moved by Bailey, seconded by Crumbaker that the Acme Construction Company be awarded a contract for the improvement of 'Monroe Street from 19th to 22nd Avenues West. Motion carried. . It was moved by Bailey, seconded by Crumbaker that the Acme Cons~ruction Company be awarded a contract for the improvement of Nixon Street from 24'th to 25th :1 Avenues East. Motion carried. The following beer license application was submitted. Broadway Coffee Cup, Retail Beer Class "B" 92 East Broadway It was moved by Johnson, seconded by Davis that the application as approved by the ~ Chief of Police qe approved. Motion carried.
