Minutes of the Special Council Meeting held Wednesday, May 30, 1947 at i!, the Ci ty Hall. :l j' ~I> Ii :.' I: " I: !'I i: I' i; The meeting was called to order by his honor ~~yor Earl McNutt. at rollcall: Hawn, Davis, Crumbaker, Johnson, Bailey and Wells. Present The City Manager reported on his negotiations at San Francisco on the purchase of a surplus swimming pool and building at Camp Parks, California. It was moved by Hawn, seconded by Davis that the City Manager be empowered and instructed by the Common Council to enter into a contract with the Beebe Con- :' struction Company for the salvaging of all usable materials of the Camp Parks ~ pool unit, and City to secure all adaptable pool fittings and fixtures and the (I contractor to retain the balance of salvage in the purchased units as full com- i, pensation for the dismantling of the swimming pool with the exception of trans- :' portation and unloading costs. The City to be responsible for insurance on its ~ share of the purchased units. I I;' I,: I , !:! It was further moved by Hawn, seconded by Davis that the City Manager be autho- rized to purchase from existing swimming pool levy fund the camp parks pool, , building and materials at a cost not to exceed $12,000.00. The motion was i: unanimously carried.
