<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br />~ <br />101 <br /> <br />and directing the Planning Commission to adopt a tentative report and to hold a <br />hearing thereon in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of said City on Tuesday, <br />February 3, 1948 at 7:30 P.M., after giving due notice by publication once in the <br />Eugene Register-Guard, and in case of favorable report of said request, a hearing <br />is hereby called to be held at the City Hall at the next ensuing regular Council <br />meeting, commencing at 7:30 P.M., notice of which shall be given three_times in <br />the Eugene Register Guard." <br /> <br />Io-.J. <br />,;::., <br />'....... <br />'....-.. <br /> <br />It was moved by Davis, seconded by Allen that the resolution be adopted. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />A Resolution re: Placing of stop signs on the Southwest corner of 12th and <br />Hilyard and on the Northeast corner of 12th and Hilyard, was submitted and read. <br /> <br />"BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Eugene, that the recom- <br />mendation of the City Manager that a stop sign be placed at the southwest corner <br />of Twelfth and Hilyard Streets, to control East bound traffic; and that another <br />be placed at the Northeast corner of Twelfth and Hilyard Streets to control West <br />bound traffic, be approved and the Chief of Police be and he is hereby directed to <br />erect signs carrying the recommendation and resolution into effect." <br /> <br />It was moved by Davis, seconded by Bailey that the resolution be approved. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Mr. Henry Byers appeared before the Council orally requesting that the present <br />52 foot set-back on the South side of Franklin Blvd. be repealed as to that portion <br />of Franklin lying east of Walnut Street. <br /> <br />It was moved by Bailey, seconded by Davis that the Council request from the <br />Planning Commission a permanent report on the application of Henry Byers for re- <br />zoning, filed July, 1947 with the Common Council. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION THE COUNCIL ADJOURNED. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />" DeaneSeeger <br />City Manager <br /> <br />dlilI <br />
