IT WAS INTERESTING TO NOTE THA T THE PORTLAND SURVEY SHOWED THAT 50% OF THE <br /> , <br /> I PEOPLE WALK NO MORE THAN TWO BLOCKS TO FIND A PARKING SPACE NEAR WHERE THEY DESIRE TO GO. <br /> Ii <br /> II IT WAS BROUGHT OUT THAT THE ULTIMATE RESULTS WOULD ASSIST IN FUTURE PLANNING OF STATE, <br /> I COUNTY AND CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAYS THROUGHOUT THE EUGENE, SPRINGFIELD METROPOLITAN AREA <br /> ,I AND THAT IT WOULD MATERIALLY ASSIST THE CITY OF EUGENE IN FOLLOWING THROUGH ON THE SYSTEM <br /> II OF PRIORITIES IN THE CROSS-TOWN STREET PROGRAM PREVIOUSLY SET UP. IT WOULD ALSO BE A <br />I ,I GUIDE AND ASSIST THE FUTURE DEVELOPMENT OF OFF-STREET PARKING AND WOULD ASSIST THE PLANNING <br /> Ii COMMISSION IN ZONING PROBLEMS RELATIVE TO BUSINESS DEVELOPMENTS THROUGHOUT THE CITY.
