IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT THIS PROJECT BE APPROVED WITH AN <br /> I ESTABLISHED WIDTH OF 46-FEET AND THAT THE COST OF THE IMPROVEMENT EXCLU61NG INTERSECTIONS <br /> BE ASSESSED TO THE ABUTTING PROPERTIES. IN ESTABLISHING THIS WIDTH OF 46-FEET, IT WAS <br /> I FELT THAT THIS WOULD BE A CONSISTENT, SUFFICIENT WIDTH ON WILLAMETTE STREET ALL THE WAY <br /> II FROM I I TH TO 19TH AVENUE, AND WOULD I NVOL VE NO PURCHASE OF ADDITIONAL RIGHTS OF WAY. IN <br /> II RECOMMENDING THAT THE ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS ASSUME THE FULL COST FOR THIS STREET, IT <br /> II WAS AGAIN BROUGHT OUT THAT THE MAJOR BENEFITS OF THE WIDTHS IN EXCESS OF 42-FEET WERE TO <br /> THE ABUTTING BUSINESS PROPERTIES AND SHOULD NOT BE INCLUDED AS PART OF THE CROSS TOWN <br /> I' STREET PROGRAM IN CONNECTION WITH THE MOVEMENT OF TRAFFIC. <br /> I 6. A PETITION REQUESTING THE PAVING OF THE ALLEY BETW~EN WILLAMETTE AND OAK FROM 13TH <br />I II TO 14TH AVENUE AND THE ALLEY BETWEEN 13TH AND 14TH AVENUE FROM OAK STREET TO THE ALLEY <br /> BETWEEN WILLAMETTE AND OAK WAS CONSIDERED AND IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT THIS BE APPROVED, <br /> I BUT THAT THE PAVING BE WITHHELD UNTIL PROPER STORM SEWERS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED IN THIS <br /> I <br /> II AREA. <br /> 7. IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT PETITION CONTAINING 56.65% OF <br /> I, THE THE PROPERTY OWNERS <br /> REQUESTING CONCRETE SIDEWALKS ON THE EAST AND WEST SIDE OF JEFFERSON STREET FROM 19TH TO <br /> 24TH AVENUE BE APPROVED. <br /> II <br /> THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY COVERING STREET <br /> II 9. STANDARD EASEMENTS SUBMITTED BY THE <br /> RIGHTS OF WAY FOR THE PROPOSED 4TH TO 1ST AVENUE INDUSTRIAL BY-PASS WAS AGAIN CONSIDERED <br /> I BY THE COMM I TTEE. IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT INASMUCH AS THIS WAS INCLUDED IN THE FUTURE <br /> CROSS-TOWN STREET PROGRAM, IT WAS FELT THAT THIS RIGHT-OF-WAY SH9ULD BE PROCURED. IT <br /> I WAS NOTED THAT THE APPROVAL OF THIS RESOLUTION AS SUBMITTED BY THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC <br /> II COMPANY AND THE SIGNING OF THE HIGHWAY AGREEMENT THAT THE CITY OF EUGENE IS AGREEING NOT <br /> TO LEVY ANY ASSESSMENT AGAINST THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY FOR FUTURE STREET CONSTRUCTION <br /> II AND THAT THE CITY OF EUGENE IS AGREEING TO MAINTAIN THIS STREET IN THE FUTURE. <br /> II 10. THE 8TH AVENUE CONNECTION THROUGH THE FRUIT GROWERS PROPERTY WAS AGAIN REVIEWED. IT <br /> I WAS BROUGHT OUT THA T THE EASEMENT AGREEMENT AS APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AT THEIR LAST <br /> MEETING WAS NOT ACCEPTED BY THE FRUIT GROWERS ASSOCIATION BECAUSE OF THE F AC T THAT THERE <br /> WAS NO PROVISION MADE FOR PAYMENT OF THE BUILDINGS WHICH WERE TO BE REMOVED FROM THE <br /> Ii FRUIT GROWERS PROPERTY. IT WAS FELT THAT <br /> I! HIGHWAY RIGHT-OF-WAY THROUGH THE THE PREVIOUS <br /> II OFFER AS APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL WAS SUFFICIENT AND THAT NO ADDITIONAL AMOUNT SHOULD <br />I BE PAID WITH TAX PAYERS MONEY. IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT THE PROPOSAL AS PREVIOUSLY APPROVED <br /> I BY THE COUNCIL BE HELD FOR FURTHER CONSIDERATION OF THE FRUIT GROWERS ASSOCIATION.
