FURTHER CONVERSATION WITH THE NELSON EQUIPMENT <br /> COMPANY REVEALS THAT THEY WILL GRANT A 90 DAY GUARANTEE AGAINST ANY MECHA NI CAL FAILURE <br /> OR DEFECTIVE PARTS (A NEW MACHINE CARRIES A SIX MONTH GUARANTEE ). I <br /> THE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDED THAT THE CITY MANAGER MAKE TENTATIVE ARRANGEMENTS FOR <br /> THE PURCHASE OF,TH I S EQUIPMENT FOR COUNCIL APPROVAL AUGUST 27TH AND THAT THE CI TV <br /> ATTORNEY PROVIDE A'WRITTEN OPINION THAT THIS eURCHASE MEETS WITH THE PROVISIONS OF <br /> THE CITY CHARTER AND STATE tAWS PERTAINING TO CITY PURCHASES. <br /> IT WAS OUTLINED BY THE CITY MANAGER THAT THE PURPOSE IN PURCHASING THIS PIECE OF <br /> EQUIPMENT WAS TO UTILIZE IT IN CONNECTION WITH THE INSTALLATION OF STORM SEWERS AND <br /> GENERAL MAINTENANCE WORK OF CI TV STREETS AND DRAINAGE AS WELL AS FOR THE PARK DEVELOP- <br /> MENT INVOLVING THE MOVING OF DIRT INSTALLATION OF UNDERGROUND WATERING SYSTEMS AND <br /> LIGHTING CABLES. <br /> 2. IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT THE COUNCIL APPROVE THE PAVING OF MISSION STREET FROM VAN <br /> NESS TO THE EAST LINE OF LOT 9 BLOCK 2, FIRST ADD.! T LON TO FAIRMOUNT HEIGHTS AS REQUESTED <br /> IN PETITION DATED AUGUST I , 1951, CONTAINING 96.92% OF THE TOTAL FOOT FRONTAGE AND THAT <br /> ORDINANCES BE WITHHELD AND PRESENTED IN THE SPRING OF 1952 FOR THE 1952 CONSTRUCTION <br /> PROGRAM'. <br /> 3.
