A BRIEF SUMMARY OF CURRENT STATUS OF THE AMAZON CREEK PROJECT WAS GIVEN, OUTLINING THE <br />HEARINGS BEFORE THE HOUSE AND SENATE COMMITTEES AS WELL AS CURRENT PHONE CALLS AND LETTERS <br />URGING FEDERAL APPROVAL OF FUNDS FOR THE CONTINUANCE OF THIS PROJECT. <br /> <br />02. THE CITY MA~AGER ADVISED THAT 18 AIRPORT CONTROL TOWERS WERE BEING DISCONTINUED I N THE <br />CURRENT ECONOMY PROGRAM, THAT C.A.A.
