<br />r78' <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />DURING THE COMMENT WHICH FOLLOWED, COUNCILMAN BOOTH STATED THAT IT WAS WELL TO HAVE THE <br />STATEMENT SO THAT THE VOTERS COULD HAVE THE FACTS REGARDING THE MILLRACE. HE STATED FURTHER <br />THAT THE MILlRACE WILL ALWAYS BE A PROBLEM If NO POSITIVE ACTION IS TAKEN. IT WAS HIS <br />SUGGESTION THAT THE MAYOR APPOINT A COMMITTEE TO CONSIST OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE CITY AT <br />LARGE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION, THE UNIVERSITY OF OREGON, THE CITY COUNCIL AND OTHERS TO <br />STUDY THE MILL~ACE PROBLEM AND REPORT BACK WITH CERTAIN RECOMMENDATIONS. <br /> <br />THE MOTION MADE BY COUNCILMAN~CRUMBAKER, SECONDED BY SIEGENTHALER - RE: DR. €RUMBAKER'S <br />STATEMENT WAS VOTED ON AND OARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. <br /> <br />IT WAS MOVED BY BOOTH, SECONDED BY OwEN THAT THE MAYOR APPOINT A MILLRACE COMMITTEE AS <br />SUGGESTED TO STUDY AND REPORT ON TH~ MILLRACE PROBLEM.
