THEY 'CONSIST Of <br /> GRADING AND THE INSTALLATION Of SPRINKLING SYSTEMS FOR BALLFIELDS LOCATED IN THE AMAZON <br /> PARK, AT 15TH AVENUE AND CHAMBERS STREET, AND AT 24TH AVENUE AND POLK STREET. THE PARK <br /> CREW IS POURING fOOTINGS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION Of TWO ANIMAL SHELTERS IN HENDRICKS PARK. <br /> THE PUBL I C WORKS DE'PARTMENT HAS LET A TOTAL OF 72 STREET, STORM SEWER, AND SANITARY <br /> SEWER PROJECTS AND Of THIS TOTAL, 52 HAVE BEEN COMPLETED. THE REMAINING 20 ARE IN VARIOUS <br /> STAGES OF COMPLETION. IT IS EXPECTED THAT ALL WILL BE FINISHED WITHIN THE ALLOTED TIME. <br /> I AM IN RECEIPT Of A LETTER fROM THE ARMY ENGINEERS AUTHORIZING US TO PROCEED IN <br /> SECURING THE RIGHT OF WAY FOR THE LINING OF THE CHANNEL FOR THE AMAZON PROJECT FROM THE <br /> EAST BOUNDARY LINE OF THE FAIRGROUNDS TO CHARNELTON STREET. HOWEVER, IT IS NOT EXPECTED <br /> THAT THIS CONTRACT WILL BE LET THIS YEAR.
