<br />I WAS HELD UP BECAUSE OF THE REQUIRED BOND WHICH WAS NOT DELIVERED UNTIL LATE THIS \'
<br />SUMMER. THE 'FRIENDLY AND TYLER STREET SANITARY SEWER WILL BE COMPLETED BY THE END
<br />Of THIS WEEK. THE' SANITARY SEWER UNDER THE RAILROAD CROSSING AT JEFfERSON STREET 1
<br />IS EXPECTED TO BE PURSUED UNTIL COMPLETED, AND THE SIDEWALKS ON THE EAST AND WEST I
<br />SIDES OF ADAMS STREET PROBABLY WILL BE HELD UP UNTIL NEXT YEAR. I
<br />
<br />I AM PLEASED TO REPORT THAT APPROXIMATELY 250 EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF EUGENE
<br />HAVE CONTRIBUTED A TOTAL OF $1580, OR AN AVERAGE OF $6~32 PER EMPLOYEE, TO THE
<br />UNITED ApPEAL CAMPAIGN. THE CITY EMPLOYEES WERE FIRST TO MAKE THEIR QUOTA IN LANE t
<br />COUNTY AND NOT ONLY MADE THEIR QUOTA BUT ARE AS OF NOW 143% OF THE QUOTA. 1
