JAIL AGREEMENT WITH LANE COUNTY - THE CITY MANAGER READ THE TERMS OF A TENTATIVE AGREE- <br />MENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF EUGENE AND LANE COUNTY CONCERNING THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE <br />OF THE JAIL BUILDING. THEC6UNTY IS TQSPEND APPROXIMATELY $130,000 FOR EXPANSION AND <br />REMODELING, ALSO COSTS FOR ADVERTISING, ARCHITECT'S FEES, AND BID CALL ,FOR THE PROJECT. <br />THE CITY WILL THEN DELIVER TO THE COUNTY A WARRANTY DEED FOR ONE~HALF OF THE FtE SIMPLE <br />TITLE TO THE PROPERTY TO BE USED AS A ~OINT TENANCY. FURTHER CONSIDERATIONS WERE PRI- <br />SONER DAY RATIO OF EXPENSE, 'AGREEMENT OF~ERMS. OF CITY TO BUY OUT COUNTY AND VICE VERSA <br />PROVIDING PROPERTY HAS BEEN APP~AISED, AND PROVIDING FOR TERMS IF THE AGREEMENT IS <br />TERMINATED. TO LOCATE AND CONSTRUCT A SEWAGE LAGOON TO SERVE A SHOPPING CENTER, MEADOW- <br />LARK SCHOOL AND A POSSIBLE FUTURE HIGH SCHOOL IN THE SAME GENERA~ AREA OF COBURG ROAD <br />AND CAL YOUNG ROAD. AN EXCERPT FROM MINUTES OF SCHOOL DISTRICT #4 BOARD MEETING WAS <br />READ IND~TING AGREEMENT TO THE PROPQSAL, WITH CERTAIN STIPULATIONS TO BE MET BY THE, <br />ALCAN PA~IFIC CO.
