LAURIS SECONDED BY MR. MOYER THAT PAYMENT BE APPROVED AND PROPER CITY O"ffICIALS <br />AUTHORIZED TO DRAW THE NECESSARY WARRANT. ROLLCALL VOTE. MOTION CARRIED. <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />2. 7TH AVENUE TRAffiC - THE CITY MANAGER READ A LETTER fROM THE STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT <br />WHICH INDICATED THE STATE WOULD SHARE WITH THE CITY Of EUGENE ON A 50-50 BASIS THE <br />COST Of WIDENING 7TH AVENUE APPROACH TO THE FERRY STREET OVERCROSSING Of THE SOUTHERN <br />PACifiC TRACKS AND ESTIMATED THIS COST TO BE $3200. THE COMMITTEE ON CHRISTENSEN- <br />SWANSON MOTION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL Of THE PROJECT AND AUTHORIZATION Of PAMMENT Of $1600 <br />AS THE CITY'S SHARE. <br /> <br />THE CITY MANAGER AND TRAffiC ENGINEER THEN PRESENTED A RECOMMENDATION fOR PROVIDING THREE <br />LANES Of MOVING TRAffiC ON 7TH AVENUE fROM OLIVE STREET TO THE FERRY STREET OVERPASS AP- <br />PROACH BY PROHIBITING PARKING AT SEVERAL LOCATIONS ON 7TH AVENUE AS SHOWN ON CHART DATED <br />JANUARY 10, 1962. ON CHRISTENSEN-MoLHOLM MOTION THE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDED PROCEEDING <br />WITH THE EXECUTION Of THE PLAN AS DESCRIBED. <br /> <br />IT WAS MOVED BY MRS. LAURIS SECONDED BY MR.
