MOTION CARRIED. <br /> MAYOR CONE RETURNED TO THE MEETING AT THIS POINT AND REASSUMED THE CHAIR. <br /> THE LETTER FROM THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO THE OREGON STATE BOARD OF HIGHER EDUCATION WAS PRESENTED TO <br /> THE COUNCil FOR THEIR CONSIDERATION. MEMBERS OF THE EUGENE PLANNING COMMISSION, THE C,TY COUNCIL, <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF, AND OTHER INVITED GUESTS HAD BEEN PRESENT TO HEAR THE REPORT OF MR. LAWRENCE <br /> LACKEY PRESENTING THE REPORT OF THE CAMPUS PLANNING COMMITTEE FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF OREGON CONCERNING <br /> THEIR PLANS FOR EXPANSION ON THE CAMPUS DURING THE NEXT TEN YEARS. SINCE COMMENTS AND CRITICISM AND/ <br /> OR SUGGESTIONS HAD BEEN INVITED BY THE CAMPUS PlAN~ING COMMITTEE, THE EUGENE PLANNING COMMISSION HAD <br /> WRITTEN A LETTER TO THE STATE BOARD OF HIGHER EDUCATION OUTLIN~NG THEIR VIEWS. ALSO, A LETTER WAS READ <br /> WRITTEN BY MR. ENDICO~T OF THE FIRM OF WllMSEN, ENDICOTT AND UNTHANK, ARCHITECTS, INDICATING THAT THE <br /> lETTER FROM THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO THE STATE BOARD HAD NOT BEEN A MATTER OF CRITICISM OF ANY PART <br /> OF THE PROGRAM BUT THAT IT WAS OFFERED IN A SPIRIT OF COOPERATION WITH THE PLANNING COMMITTEE OF THE <br /> UNIVERSITY. <br /> IT WAS MOVED BY MRS. LAURIS SECONDED BY MR. MOlHOlM TO RECEIVE THE REPORT AND PLACE IT ON FilE. <br /> MOTION CARRIED, MR. DEVEREll VOTING NO. <br /> MR. MOlHOlM THEN MOVED SECONDED BY MR. CHATT THAT THE WHOLE MATTER OF THE UNIVERSITY EXPANSION PROGRAM <br /> BE DISCUSSED AT A COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING BEFORE THE JULY 9, 1962 COUNCIL MEETING.
