MOTION CARRIED. <br /> RELATIVE TO THE REQUESTED VACATION OF POTTER STREET AT 30TH AVENUE, DR. ROBERT STANSBURY AND MR.RoNALD <br /> WARD WERE PRESENT AND BOTH SPOKE ON THEIR OWN BEHALF AND ON BEHALF OF SOME OF THEIR NEIGHBORS FOR THE <br /> VACATION OF THIS ONE FOOT STRIP OF POTTER STREET. DR. STANSBURY POINTED OUT A PROBABLE FLOW OF TRAFFIC <br /> SHOULD POTTER STREET BE LEFT OPEN AND WHY THEY WERE TRYING TO HAVE POTTER STREET CLOSED. <br /> MR. WILSON MOVED SECONDED BY MR. CHRISTENSEN TO UPHOLD THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> I FOR DENIAL OF THE VACATION AND TO REFUND THE APPLICATION FEE OF $75 TO DR. STANSBURY. MOTION CARRIED, <br /> MRS. LAURIS VOTING NO. <br /> MR. MOYER MOVED SECONDED BY MRS. LAURIS TO APPROVE THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION WITH REFER- <br /> ENCE TO CHAS. R. NYBERG'S REQUEST FOR NON-COMPLIANCE TO SIDEWALK ORDINANCE. MOTION CARRIED. <br /> 7 THE OVERHEAD CROSSING ON 30TH AVENUE AT POTTER STREET FOR THE BENEFIT OF SCHOOL CHILDREN ATTEND- <br /> ING HARRIS SCHOOL AND HAVING TO CROSS 30TH AVENUE WAS THEN BROUGHT UP. COUNCILMAN CHATT SUGGESTED <br /> THAT SOME DECISION SHOULD BE REACHED ON THIS MATTER BY THE CITY AND POSSIBLY THE SCHOOL BOARD SINCE <br /> tit THE COUNCIL HAD SENT A RECOMMENDATION TO THE SCHOOL BOARD AND NO DEFINITE DECISI ' <br /> ON HAD BEEN PUT FORTH <br /> BY THE SCHOOL BOARD. A MEMBER OF THE PTA PRESENT AT THE MEETING STATED HE WILL SEE THAT THIS MA~TER <br /> WAS BROUGHT BEFORE THE DISTRICT #4 SCHOOL BOARD. <br /> ~ <br />
