<br />The regular meeting of the Common. Council pf the City of Eugene, Oregon, was
<br />called to order at 7:30 p.m. in the. Council Chamber on March 9, 1964 by His Honor
<br />Mayor Edwin E. Cone with the following councilm~n present: Mrs. Lauris, Messrs.Chatt,
<br />Swanson, Christensen, Deverell (arrived late), ~rakes, Hawk, and Purdy.
<br />
<br />The invocation was given by Rev. Richard Smith, Associate Minister of the Uni-
<br />versity Street Church. of Christ.
<br />
<br />. The minutes of the adjourned meeting held February 24, 1964, as mailed to members
<br />of the Council, were approved.

<br />NEW BUSINESS
<br />
<br />Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Chatt to,make available to the Parks Department
<br />for other park property purchases the $51,000 which would have been paid to the Century
<br />Progress Fund for Amazon Park property for the Pearl Street extension. Rollcall vote.
<br />All councilmen present voting aye, except Mr. Christensen voting no, motion carried.

<br />18th~19th one-way couplet be placed on the agenda for the Committee of the Whole meet-
<br />ing to be held Thursday, March 12, 1964. Motion carried.
