<br /> 16~ <br /> e <br /> 10/26/64 <br /> ORDINANCES <br /> I Mayor Cone arrived at the Council meeting and assumed the Chair. <br /> 1 Council Bill No. 6821 - Levying assessments for construction of sanitary sewer in area bounded <br /> on east by City limits, on south by Lorane Highway, on west by Oak Terrace Addition, and on north by <br /> most northerly part of Whitbeck Boulevard, submitted and read the first time in full on October 12; <br /> 1964 and held over for proper notice of assessment to be given owners of affected pro~rty, was now <br /> brought back for consideration with no written protests on file. <br /> Mr. Chatt moved seconded by Mr. Swanson that the bill be read the second time by council bill number <br /> only, with unanimous consent of the Council. Motion carried unanimously and the bill was read the <br /> second time by council bill number only. <br /> Mr. Chatt moved seconded by Mr. Swanson that the bill be read the third time by council bill number <br /> only, with unanimous consent of the Council. Motion carried unanimously and the bill was read the <br /> third time by council bill number only. <br /> Mr. Chatt moved seconded by Mr. Swanson that the bill be approved and'given final passage. All councilmen present voting aye, the bill was declared passed and numbered 13667. <br /> 2 Council Bill No. 6822 - Levying assessments for construction of sanitary sewer on East Briar- <br /> cliff Lane through Lombard Plat, submitted and read the first time in full on October 12, 1964 and <br /> held over for proper notice of assessment to be given owners of affected property, was now brought <br /> back for consideration with no written protests on file. <br /> I Mr. Chatt moved seconded by Mr. Swanson that the bill be read the second time by council bill number <br /> only, with unanimous consent of the Council. The Public Works Director explained <br /> the procedure to Mrs. Miner. <br /> Mr. Chatt moved seconded by Mr. Swanson that the bill be approved and given final passage. Rollcall <br /> vote. All councilmen present voting aye, the bill was declared passed and numbered 13668. <br /> 3 Council Bill No. 6823 - Levying assessments for construction of sanitary sewer in area between <br /> Wilson Street ,and west boundary of Highland Oaks Addition from Highland Oaks Drive to south 600 feet, <br /> submitted and read the first time in full on October 12, 1964 and held over for proper notice of <br /> assessment to be given owners of affected property, was now brought back for consideration with no <br /> written protests on file. <br /> Mr. Chatt moved seconded by Mr. Swanson that the bill be read the second time by council bill number <br /> only, with unanimous consent of the Council. Collett objected to the amount of the proposed sewer assessment against his <br /> property, stating that the sewer as it ts now located is no use to his property and <br /> would not be for several years to come. Mr. Collett state he intended to pay the <br /> e assessment but that it would be a burden at this time. <br /> Mr. Chatt moved seconded by Mr. Swanson that the bill be approved and given final passage. Rollcall <br /> vote. All councilmen present voting aye, the bill was declared passed and numbered 13669. <br /> 4 Council Bill No. 6828 - Vacating cul-de-sac and Lots 11 through 18, Block 20, 8th Addition to <br /> Edgewood (Breeden) was submitted and read .in full. <br /> Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Chatt that the bill be read the second time by council bill number <br /> only, with unanimous consent of the Council. Motion carried unanimously and the bill was read the <br /> second time by council bill number only. <br /> Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Chatt that the rules be suspended and the bill read the third time <br /> by council bill number only, with unanimous consent of the Council.
