Naming Oakmont Way and Donovan Drive - The Planning Commission <br /> recommended acceptance of a street dedication made by Miles McKay <br /> for a street running east from Oakway Road to Coburg Road; also <br /> e that a new street built by Lane County to serve properties cut off <br /> by the overpass and fill on Norkenzie Road crossing the Belt Line <br /> Road be named Donovan Drive. Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Chatt <br /> to accept the McKay dedication and name the street Oakmont Way and <br /> to name the Lane County street Donovan Drive. Motion carried. <br /> 2 b. Foothill Drive - The Planning Commission recommended approval of <br /> I the renaming to Foothill Drive the portion of Snell Street running <br /> between Larkwood Street and Manzanita Street in Pine Ridge Estates. <br /> Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Dr. Purdy to approve the name change. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Chatt to approve Items 3a and 3b of the Commi~tee <br /> report. Motion carried. <br /> 3 4. Rezoning to R-2 ~-block on Patterson between 23rd and 24th - The Plan- <br /> ning Commission had recommended the rezoning of this area from R-l to <br /> R~2, and Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Deverell to approve the re- <br /> zoning (Planning Commission meeting December 7, 1964). After discus- <br /> sion by the Council, Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Chatt to hold <br /> this item over for further study. Motion carried. <br /> 4 5. Harlow Road Width -Members of the Council had viewed maps showing <br /> proposed right-of-way widths on Harlow Road. However, it was sug- <br /> gested that the Council view the right-of-way after it is staked <br /> and flagged. No action was taken. <br /> Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Chatt that Items 4 and 5 of the Committee report be <br /> held over. Motion carried. <br /> 5 6. Paving Mill. 2nd to 3rd. and sewers between Mill and High. 2nd and 4th - <br /> I A petition was presented bearing signatures of owners of 87.5% of the <br /> properties to be assessed. Mr. Chatt moved seconded by Dr. Purdy to <br /> approve the petition. Motion carried. <br /> 6 7. Bid Opening Improvement Proiects. December 9. 1964 - A tabulation of <br /> bids opened on sanitary sewer and sidewalk projects was presented, <br /> and Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Chatt to award contracts to the <br /> low bidder on each project. Motion carried. <br /> e Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Chatt to approve Items 6 and 7 of the Committee re- <br /> port. Motion carried. <br /> 7 8. Option Right-of-Way. Harlow Road and Coburg Road. PreSDytery of Willamette, <br /> 777 Coburg Road - The Public Works Department recommended exercising the <br /> option given by the Presbytery of Willamette for purchase of property <br /> for right-of-way for both Coburg and Harlow Roads for $3140. Mr. Chatt <br /> moved seconded by Mr. Swanson to approve the purchase of rights-of-way at <br /> the corner of Coburg and Harlow Roads for $3140. Motion carried. <br /> Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Chatt to approve Item 8 of the Committee report. <br /> Rollcall vote. All councilmen present voting aye, motion carried. <br /> 8 9. Parking Prohibitions. 15th at Columbia. Moss. and Villard - The Public. <br /> I Works Department recommended the extension of parking prohibitions to <br /> improve sight clearance at the south curb of 15th for 25 feet east and <br /> west from Columbia; at the north and south curbs of 15th for 40 feet <br /> east and west from Moss; and at the north and south curbs of 15th for <br /> 20 feet east and west from Villard.
